Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 01:15PM DAYS DIFFERNCE
This production experience I had with this shoot is exactly what my friend Nick Onken talks about in his blog. The Production Experience and Building Your Entourage. Read that post. We had an amazing team of 10, great attitudes, loud music, amazing catering, all in the Meatpacking District in NYC at Industria Superstudios. This is Days Difference shot for Universal Motown.
See the rest of the shoot here.

Commercial HELP A BROTHER OUT.
**UPDATE** Fred was able to sift through his apartment. The building is toast, but thankfully he was able to get his computer, hard drives, and camera equipment.
*As a result of Fred's updated status, if you would like your charitable donation refunded I will be more than happy to do so anonymously. Email me at info@jorycordy.com
This weekend, our good friend, Fred Egan lost all of his personal possessions to a fire. Computers, equipment, clothes, everything. His insurance had just lapsed, and was not renewed at the time of this fire. You can imagine how this would damage his life and business. For those of you that would like to help, I've set up this PayPal donation account to relieve some temporary stress. Please give what you can and keep him and his family in your prayers!
We all belong to a strong photography and creative community. Let's keep this guy in the business. You already know that he does amazing work. I would hate to see something like this bring him down. Thanks guys!

Style MCGINLEY FOR DENIM
Levi's put out a new campaign for their denim this year, "Go Forth". Wrangler put out a campaign last year for their denim, "We Are Animals". Both utilizing the snap shot styled photography of Ryan McGinley. McGinley's photographs mostly feature young, skinny people hanging out in an undressed fashion. However, in these campaigns everyone is wearing denim. I think both campaigns are amazing, just interesting to see how two denim brands market themselves using the same artist.
